Features
Here is a list of some of the Easy Menu features. Download the free version and read the included help file for all the details.
- Easy to Use. All menu resources are embedded in one ASP.NET web control. No further javascripts or stylesheets need to be added.
- Data Driven. Supports many different data sources, including hierarchical data, such as a SiteMapDataSource. Also supports DataTables, DataViews, LINQ tables and a build-in data structure.
- High Performance. Performs well with large amounts of sub menu items. Some other menus become very slow in some browsers if you add many sub menu items.
- Advanced Behavior. Advanced behavior is provided using javascript. This includes behavior such as keeping the menu within the browser edges and solving some cross browser issues.
- List Layout. Uses list HTML layout instead of the table layout of the build-in ASP.NET menu control. The list layout approach has become the most popular layout for fly-out menus because it is compact and very search engine friendly.
- Stylesheet Control. Uses stylesheets to control the menu's appearance.
- Highly Customizable. The menu can be styled using one of the many style properties or by changing the menu stylesheet directly to get complete control over the appearance.
- Horizontal and Vertical Layout.
- Images. Background images can be added to individual menu items and menu text can be shifted to make the image appear as an icon in front of the text.

Free Bonus Web Controls
Easy Menu contains two bonus web controls,
the Easy Menu Path and the Easy Menu Overview. However, the layout and styling options for these controls are not as flexible as for the Easy Menu.
- The Easy Menu Path web control is similar to the ASP.NET SiteMapPath control, but is bound to an Easy Menu rather than a site map. This means you can easily display a breadcrumb path that corresponds to a selected menu item.
- The Easy Menu Overview web control is also bound to an Easy Menu and displays the menu expanded in a selected number of columns.
